Tiao Beng Zi – jumping and exploding: Step forward with the right foot and then make a back step
with the left foot and squat down. Raise the body and turn back. Both hands make fists, as though
grabbing something. Pull forward and bend the body downward releasing exploding force with the hand.
Pull forward and downward striking backward with the buttocks. To practice this, you should move quick,
your steps like a jump and the force should be integrate and explosive. Tiao Beng Zi is good for
developing coordination of the whole body. Below figures show this skill.
Tan Ning Zi – twisting body with spring leg: Turn the body to the right slightly and then suddenly
turn back to the left. At the same time sink down and clap the right hand down and forward, stamping
the right foot back. The right leg should stretch far to the rear and should be kept straight. Tan Ning Zi
is good for developing coordination of force through the arms, the waist, and legs. Below figures show
Liao Gou Zi - lift up hook backward: To make a cove step forward with the right foot and take a back
step with the left foot to turn the body back. Then raise the right leg from the rear. When the leg
reaches its higest point, turn the head to the left and up – Bian Lian. This will also bring the body turn
to the left. Liao Gou Zi is good for developing stepping skills as well as increasing flexibility and strength
of the legs. Below figures shows this skill.
